On Country by Air is a premium private cultural helicopter experience that starts before you leave the ground.
Arrive at the Aero Logistics Helibase in Mascot and begin with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by local First Nations custodians. Share a native flavours morning tea of native food and beverage on Country. Then board your private helicopter for a 45-minute scenic flight over Sydney with live Aboriginal cultural storytelling delivered by a dedicated on-board cultural facilitator, flying in a Bell 407 (max 5 guests).
This is a whole-aircraft private charter. No shared flights. No strangers. Your group boards alone with a licensed commercial pilot and an Aboriginal cultural facilitator who travels on board every flight, occupying a seat alongside your guests.
Choose from two routes at checkout. The Southern Sydney route covers Bidjigal, Dharawal and Gweagal Country, taking in the Royal National Park, the coastline, the escarpment and ancient Aboriginal rock engraving sites seen from the air. The Northern Sydney route covers Gadigal, Cammeraygal and Guringai Country, flying over the city skyline, Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and Sydney Harbour, out to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, with Aboriginal rock engraving sites and significant cultural places interpreted from a bird's-eye view.
Natcha Cultural Tours is an Aboriginal-owned business founded by Eric Brown, a descendant of the Yuin, Bidjigal, Dharawal and Gundungarra peoples. Every tour delivers authentic cultural education that goes beyond sightseeing, offering genuine connection to Country through sacred site interpretation, traditional knowledge of land and bush foods, native medicines, customs, language and song. Ground experience. Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. Your experience begins here, before you board. Meet your Aboriginal cultural facilitator and First Nations custodians. Participate in a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony on Country. Share a native flavours morning tea of native food and beverage. Receive a safety briefing from your licensed commercial pilot. Then board your private helicopter.
Route A (Southern Sydney): Royal National Park
Bidjigal, Dharawal and Gweagal Country. One of the world's oldest national parks, seen from the air with live cultural storytelling from your on-board Aboriginal cultural facilitator. View the coastline, the escarpment and ancient Aboriginal rock engraving sites from a bird's-eye view.
Route B (Northern Sydney): Sydney Harbour and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park
Gadigal, Cammeraygal and Guringai Country. Fly over the city skyline, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and Sydney Harbour with live cultural storytelling from your on-board Aboriginal cultural facilitator, out to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park where ancient Aboriginal rock engraving sites are interpreted from the air.

Meeting point: Aero Logistics Helibase, Mascot NSW 2020, Sydney. On-site parking is available at the helibase.
Arrival time: Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. Your experience of the Welcome to Country ceremony and morning tea begins on the ground before the flight.
Transfers: Hotel and cruise-terminal transfers are available on request. Contact [email protected] to arrange before your tour date.
Booking lead time: 7 days notice is preferred to secure your preferred departure time. For requests inside 7 days, please contact us directly to confirm aircraft availability.
Group size: This is a private charter of the whole aircraft. Minimum 1 guest, maximum 5 paying guests on the Bell 407. The Aboriginal cultural facilitator occupies one seat on every flight. Passenger weights will be requested during checkout, as aircraft allocation and seating is subject to weight-and-balance requirements.
Children and families: Families are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and are included in the maximum aircraft capacity and weight-and-balance calculation.
Fitness and accessibility: This experience is low-impact and suitable for most fitness levels. The ceremony and morning tea take place on level ground at the helibase. Not wheelchair accessible.
Language: English.
What to bring: Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), weather-appropriate clothing in layers, camera or phone for photos, and a reusable water bottle (fresh water provided on board for refills). Please advise any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
Operating schedule: Available 7 days per week, 364 days per year. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Same-day requests are often possible subject to availability, though 7 days notice is preferred.
Weather: Flights operate at the discretion of the Pilot in Command. Where a confirmed flight cannot proceed due to weather or operational conditions, we will endeavour to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund less a $50 administration fee applies. Weather-affected bookings may be rescheduled for up to 12 months from the original booking date.
CANCELLATION POLICY
More than 7 days before departure: no cancellation fee.
Within 7 days to 72 hours before departure: 50% of the total booking amount.
Within 72 hours of departure: 100% of the total booking amount.
No-show: 100% of the total booking amount.
